Biography

Charles was born in 1873, the son of Francis Marion and Sarah Mariah Belts Campbell. He married Jennie Rathbun and they had children: Louis, Edith, Ralph, Arthur Dee, Ida, Elsie and Mary Esther.

The 1910 census (Richfield, Adams, Illinois) lists:

Charles died in 1949 and is buried in Kingston Park Cemetery. [3]

"Charles F. Campbell, of Kingston, aged 31, and Miss Jennie Rathbun, of Richfield, aged 30, were married yesterday [Sept. 14, 1904] afternoon by Judge McCrory at his office in the court house. Both are members of well known Adams county families. The groom is a prosperous farmer of Beverly township." [4] Marriage record shows "Charles L Campbell" [5]

Paternal relationship is confirmed by a triangulated group of 7 individuals on 23andme consisting of , Alan Grimm, R. Shain, Grandson of Paul Raymond Sewell, G. Gibson, Son of Laura Moorman, P. Comfort, Son of Alice Louise Comfort, D. Ellerbrock, Daughter of Brenda L. Blentlinger, and F. Crose, Grandson of Brenda L. Blentlinger who share a 15.89 cM segment on chromosome 3 with many sharing larger 25-55 cm segments with one to one comparison. Additionally C.Hair, Grandaughter of Shirley Ann Poulter shares parts of the same segment up to 7.77cM-24.32 cM with all except P. Comfort. The most recent common ancestors shared by all seven individuals are James Wright Sparrow and Mary (White) Sparrow.

Campbell-6012 and Campbell-19369 appear to represent the same person because: Charles Lewis Campbell is the correct Spouse and should delete out Charles Edward Campbell with the merge.
