Payton E. Cantrell was born in January 1852 in Warren County, Tennessee. He was the son of Jabin Cantrell and Fannie Christian. He passed away before 1920 probably in Bryan County, Oklahoma. He last appears in records on the 1910 census in Bryan County. His wife is listed as a widow on the 1920 census.
