George and Emma were married in the Weslyan Church, St Peter's Road, Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, England. George was a fish salesman at the time of his marriage. C. COULBECK and N. COULBECK were witnesses. The Wesleyan minister was William SHAW.[1]
He came to New Zealand with his wife Emma, son Doug and daughter Nellie aboard the ship RMS Corinthic in July 1909.[2]
George died of myocarditus, he had been sick for six months.[3] He was buried on 29 July 1944 in Aramoho Cemetery, Wanganui, Block H Row 3 with a stone wall surround. Gravestone reads "George Howard Carrington, 1867-1944."[4]
