Biography

Martha Cartwright was the youngest daughter of puritan divine Thomas Cartwright and his wife Alice Stubbs, probably born about 1585. She was named as unmarried in the 1603 Will of her father, ^{[1] [2]} but in the 1614 Will of her mother she was named as the wife of Nicholas Woodrof and mother of their son Robert. ^[3]
