Biography
Anne was the daughter of Thomas Cayley and Isabella Seton. She was baptised at Brompton by Sawdon, Yorkshire on 26th September 1768.[1]
She married George Worsley (1761-1815) in 1788[2] and had 15 children between that year and 1812:
- George,[3] baptised at Stonegrave, Yorkshire on 25 September 1788[4]
- Edward,[3] baptised at Stonegrave, Yorkshire on 24 March 1790[5]
- Isabella, born on 23 June 1791 and baptised at Stonegrave on 3 July 1791[6]
- William,[3] born on 26 August 1792[7]
- Philadelphia, born on 9 November 1795[8]
- Marcus,[3] born on 16 March 1794[9]
- Thomas,[3] born on 6 July 1797[10]
- Anne, born on 28 May 1799[11]
- Frances, born on 22 April 1801[12]
- Frederick Cayley,[3] born on 13 January 1803[13]
- Septimus Lancelot,[3] born on 20 July 1804[14]
- Henry Francis,[3] born on 31 May 1806[15]
- Charles Valentine,[3] baptised at Stonegrave, Yorkshire on 9 March 1808[16]
- Arthur,[3] born on 22 May 1810[17]
- Digby Edmund,[3] born on 14 May 1812[18]
Her children Isabella and Henry Francis married children of her sister Elizabeth - John Chalfont Blackden (1792-1880) and Catherine Agnes (Blackden) Worsley (1810-1841).
Anne was widowed in 1815.[19]
In 1851 she was living at Hovingham, Yorkshire with her daughter Anne Worsley (1799-1873) and 4 servants.[20]
She died on 31 August 1854 and was buried at Stonegrave, Yorkshire.[19] Her death was registered in the Malton district of Yorkshire in the 3rd quarter of 1854.[21]
