Marriage
There are conflicting accounts of more than one spouse for Nancy Chadwell. One account has her marrying a _____McLilen [1], while another has her married to a George W Barnes, of WIlliamson Co., TN [2] More research is needed to determine if one, or both proposals are in error, or if Nancy could have been married more than once.
The Family Search profile of George Washington Barnes (1775-1852) has his spouse documented as being Nancy Caroline (Evans) Barnes (1782-1858). [3][4] Also given is a 1801 Kentucky marriage record for a George Barnes and Nancy Evans [5]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Nancy by comparing test results with other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Nancy:
Nancy is thought to be the wife of George W Barnes who came to Williamson county TN in 1809 from Rockingham County VA. There is a record in Williamson County where she mentions her father George. She goes by Nancy C. Also in 1852 George W Barnes died and left an estate which required a bond of several thousand dollars. It was noted that all who went the bond were Chadwells. We have no marriage of record to any of the family although they did live next door to George W Barnes family in Williamson County TN. George W Barnes and Nancy's children carry Chadwell names, Jemima, John C, and Valentine. George Barnes father Turbyfield Barnes served with one of the Chadwells and Allens in a company of light horsemen in Rockingham County in the Revolutionary war. I haven't been able to find a marriage record only circumstantial evidence.
An issue with this is that this Nancy Chadwell was said to have been born July 16, 1781. That would make it questionable that she would have been the daughter of George Chadwell as he died about 1776. Could it be that Barnes married an earlier or different Nancy ? What is the est marriage date and date of birth for the Barnes children ?
There is some evidence that George W Barnes married a woman in 1801 named Nancy Caroline Evans. See information in Biography.
