Mary Champe[1] was born on November 11, 1734, in Spotsylvania, Virginia, the child of John Champe of Lamb's Creek[2] and Jane Thornton. She married Lewis Willis, of Willis Hall, in 1754 in Virginia[3]. She died on February 13, 1813, and was buried in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
