Bailey Chandler, the son of John Chandler (b. abt.1755, d. 1850 in Benton County, Alabama), was born in South Carolina, probably before 1790. He died in Benton County, Alabama, about 1846.
He died intestate, and his estate was administered in Benton County by James Taylor. The estate names as heirs Mary Chandler, the widow, James Chandler, Milton Chandler, David Chandler, William Chandler, Stephen Chandler, and James D. Stell.
There appear to be several people named Bailey Chandler who were roughly contemporary and living in the same area of South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama. Having just inherited this profile, it's difficult to separate what records belong to whom.
It appears likely, by the repetition of names in estate proceedings and by the fact that John Chandler, father of Bailey Chandler, also ended up in Benton County, Alabama, around this time, that the Bailey Chandler who died intestate in Benton County around 1846 is the correct Bailey Chandler.
This profile had the unsourced birthdate of 1785 when I inherited it. I have yet to find positive support for this date. Richardson-19564 15:57, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
