I am curious as to why when a profile already exists (Chase-682), the a new profile with the same birth date and death date Chase(-7400)doesn't come up with the old one for the new profile to connect with thereby eliminating the cumbersome process of merging the two.
Chase-892 and Chase-5246 appear to represent the same person because: I had made another profile for William Chase. The difference is you have done a lot more research and have more information.
