Jeanne Baptiste Chassey was born and baptized on 10 Oct 1726 in Combeaufontaine, Franche-Comté, France, daughter of Sébastian Chassey and of Élisabeth Grandmaitre.[1]

Jeanne Baptiste is first mentioned in the country when she emigrated with her parents from France in 1742.[1]

Marriage
Jeanne Baptiste Chassey married Étienne Michaud, son of Pierre Michaud and Marie Madeleine Cadieux, on 26 Feb 1748 in Saint-Louis de Kamouraska, Canada, Nouvelle-France.[2]

Note: Her sister, Françoise (Chassey) Chassé, married Étienne's brother, Jean Baptiste Michaud.

Death and Burial
Jeanne Chassé passed away between 26 February 1748 and 16 November 1749.[1] She was aged around 23 years.
