Biography
Sarah Clark was born in New York Colony in 1741.
She married Justus Sherwood Esq. (1742-1826), and had eight children; Mary, Elizabeth, Ruth, Deborah, Justus, Rachel, Jacob and Joseph.
The family relocated to New Brunswick as a result of the Revolutionary War.
Sarah (Clark) Sherwood passed away in March 1794 (per grave marker), and was buried on Burial Hill, Acadian Loyalist Cemetery, French Village, Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada [1].
Research Notes
The previous marriage date of 1774 most likely refers to Sarah Longbottom who married the other Loyalist named Justus Sherwood UE.
This profile is NOT a duplicate of Sarah Mary (Clark) Sherwood (abt.1741-bef.1800).
NOTE: Observe care not to confuse this person with Sarah (Longbottom) Sherwood (1755-1819) who was the spouse of Justus Sherwood UE (1747-1798), and who emigrated via Vermont to Quebec.
