Elizabeth Clues was born in County Durham, England.

Elizabeth Ann Clues was born in Gateshead on 5 January 1880 and was the eldest daughter of William Clues and Elizabeth Howey.[1]


On the 1881 census, Elizabeth, aged 1 year, is living at West View Lodge, Gateshead, Durham, with her parents.[2]

On the 1891 census, Elizabeth, aged 11 years, is living at Forest Lodge Cottage, Longbenton, Tynemouth, with her parents and siblings: Frederick (7 years) and Hamer (2 years).[3]

On the 1901 census, Elizabeth, aged 21 years, is living at Waggoner's Row, Longbenton, Tynemouth, with her parents and her brother Hamer, aged 12 years.[4]

On the 1911 census, Elizabeth, aged 30 years, is living at Mayfield West Moor, Forest Hall, Newcastle On Tyne, with her widowed father and her brother Hamer, aged 22 years.[5]

On the 1921 census, Elizabeth is working as a servant for Helena Patterson at 5 Elm Grove, Forest Hall, Longbenton.[6]

On the 1939 Register, Elizabeth, a paid housekeeper, is living at 9 Ocean View, Newbiggin-By-The-Sea.[7]

Elizabeth Ann Clues died, aged 83 years, in 1963.[8]
