Research Notes

The earliest known ancestors of our subject were his great-grandparents, William and Sally (Mason) Price. William Price I was born in Wales, and early came to the New World, locating in New York State, where he met and married his wife, Sally Mason, a native of England. By trade William was a Weaver, and he followed that calling after locating in America. Being a United Empire Loyalist, during the war of the American Revolution he took his wife and family to New Brunswick, and there he died at the age of ninety years, his wife attaining a like advanced age. They were members of the English Church.

William and Sally (Mason) Price’s three sons and one daughter were: • Tyler Price, • William Price II, • Edward Price, • Maggie Price, who married John Coates.
