Biography

Thomas Coath was a carpenter and painter and lived in Liskeard his entire life.

Thomas Coath and Elizabeth Perkin, both residents of the parish of St Andrew, Plymouth, married in St Andrew's on 17 August 1819. Witnesses were Thomas Roberts, Betsey Honeycombe and James Boulter.[1]

In 1841 Thomas and his wife Elizabeth were living in Liskeard, Cornwall, with their children Thomas, Mary, John, Elizabeth, Charles and Jane. Thomas's trade was "painter".[2]

In 1851 Thomas and Elizabeth were living in Castle Street, Liskeard, with their children John, Jane and Charles. Thomas's trade was "painter".[3]

In 1861 Thomas and Elizabeth were living in Castle Street, Liskeard, with a boarder, William Lyne. Thomas's trade was "painter and grainer".[4]

In 1871 Thomas and Elizabeth were living in Castle Street, Liskeard. Thomas's trade was "painter and grainer".[5]
