Biography

he was married in Rockford, Illinois and later passed away in Illinois but they apparently met in Alabama, where she was born and baptized. he was employed as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years and retired in 1989. Member of the Illinois Coon and Fox Club, and YMCA Senior Men's Club.

Survived by wife, Lydia M. Miles, Daughter Betty (Ron)Black, sons James, Harvey (Patricia), and Richard D. (Glenda) (they live in Monaca, PA. Also 8 grandchildren, 3 stepgrandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 3 sisters (Clara Mae, Sarah Lou, and Elizabeth), 4 brothers Clyde (Jesse) in TX, james I (Nadine) in AL, Bobby D (Onease) in AL, and Lewis R (Nancy) in AL. Graveside Services on 3/25/1998 in Willwood Burial Park with Rev. Donald yielding officiating.

Daddy said that Uncle Clydes 2nd wife was Elmer's mother in law. he thought her last name was Mize (1st husband's name) but it was apparently Miles. I should probably call Lydia and get her parents info. I wonder if there was any children from the union of Clyde and Mrs. Miles.
