Biography

George Byron Coldwell was born January 1, 1882.[1] He was the son of Obed Coldwell and Annie Chute. On June 3, 1908, he married Rose Florence "Florence" Kelly, the daughter of Edward and Emeline Kelly of Lockhartville, Hants County, NS[2]

Their children included[3]:

  1. Edward Merritt Coldwell, born November 3, 1908, the son of George Coldwell and Florence Kelley of Lower Wolfville, Nova Scotia[4], who married Alice Maude Gue[3] on April 1, 1937[5]
  2. Grace Allison Coldwell, born October 5, 1909, the daughter of George Coldwell and Florence Kelley of Wolfville, Nova Scotia[6], who died February 8, 1910[7]
  3. Nellie Josephine Coldwell, born January 9, 1911[8], who married Arnold Leander Coldwell, the son of Alston Henry Coldwell and Bessie Blanche Smith, on February 5, 1934[9], and who died in 2012[10] [3]
  4. Mabel Florence Coldwell, born December 13, 1913, the daughter of George Coldwell and Florence Kelly of Gaspereau[11], who married Rudolph M. Gertridge on October 3, 1935[12], and who died in 1995[3]
  5. Audrey Louise Coldwell, born May 31, 1927, and who died July 20, 1927[13]
  6. Frank, born circa 1917[3]

George Byron Coldwell, born January 1, 1882, the son of Obed Coldwell and Annie Chute died on October 30, 1964 in Wolfville, Kings County, Nova Scotia[1]

  • Some family trees confuse George Byron Coldwell with George Alfred Coldwell, whose wife was named Florence and lived in the same general region, but was five years older, and the son of Enoch Coldwell.

Coldwell-912 and Coldwell-163 appear to represent the same person because: These duplicate profiles with slightly different information but the same private wife and different children are causing db errors (and suggestions).
