Margaret Cooley, daughter of Benjamin Cooley and Mary Needham, was born on 13 November 1757 in Greenwich, Hampshire county, Massachusetts Bay. ^{[1] [2] [3]}

Margaret was wed to Job Winslow on 27 July 1780 in Hardwick, Worcester county, Massachusetts. ^[4] To this marriage were born:

1. Thomas Winslow, 1781–1829;
2. Job Winslow, 1783–1828.

Margaret was wed secondly to Peter Rice about 1789. ^[5] To this marriage was born:

1. Peter Rice, Jr., 1789-1811.

Margaret Cooley Winslow Rice died on 31 December 1808 in Pittsford, Rutland county, Vermont, and was buried at Meeting House Cemetery in Pittsford. ^[6]
