Biography
Elizabeth Coombe was born 18 February 1859 at the Victoria Inn, Peterville, St Agnes, daughter of Phillip Coombe (an innkeeper) and wife Elizabeth (Williams) Coombe. The date is 18 Feb according to the Royal Cornwall Gazette, 25 Feb according to the GRO record[1][2]
Elizabeth Coombs married William Henry Barlow on 5 April 1876 in Thunder Bay, Ontario. William was 26, born Stepney, London, son of William Henry and Ester Elizabeth. Elizabeth was 17, born St Agnes Cornwall, daughter of Philip Coombs and Elizabeth Williams[3]
In the 1891 census, W Henery Barlo (42 born England), Elisabeth Barlo (31 born England), and children William F Barlo (11), Minnie Barlo (8), Leane May Barlo (1) and lodgers Edward Boy (25) and Isie McKinnson (26) are living in Neebing North, Algoma, Ontario[4]
Elizabeth Barlow died 20 April 1891 in Thunder Bay[5]
