Nancy Bower, daughter of Daniel (Daneal) Corwin & Nancy Williams died in Forest Village, Hardin County Ohio 6 May 1910. She was born 17 July 1851 and was married at the time of her death. Her husband's name is not given. ^[1] The original dates on the file were 1852-1934

"J. A. BOWER, farmer, P. O. Kenton, was born in Logan County, Ohio, August 26, 1840, and is a son of Peter and Amy Bowers. On November 5, 1872, he was united in marriage to Miss Nancy C. Corwin, a native of Hardin County, Ohio, born July 17, 1851. They are the parents of three children, Myrtie A., Oliver P. and Minnie. Mr. Bower served thirty-seven months in the Thirteenth Regiment,Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Company F, and was engaged in four regular battles besides numerous skirmishes. He owns sixty-five acres of land and has resided in this county for two years. He is a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, No. 381,at Rushsylvania." ^[2]

Nancy Bower F 18 Ohio ^[3]NB his age is circled on the form (possibly indicating a question or error?) The 1900 &1910 census' have him as 11 yrs older than Nancy, not 21.

I do not have access to Ancestry. This link leads to 5 pages of search results, 84 entries, none of which are for a Nancy Catherine Corwin, there is an entry for a Daniel C Corwin which I cannot open that may be a census page. The only 1870 census information for Nancy Corwin I have found do not seem to apply. I'm pretty sure she was married by 1870.

There is a 1870 census page from Ohio which lists 21 Corwins in three households, the only Nancy is listed as 18y. There are 4 other Corwins, and an 11yr old named John Swartz, in this house headed by Oliver 59 & Jane 54.^[6]

There is another 1870 census page listing a 19 year old Nancy Corwin in the household of Ezra & Emma Corwin with five other children (four on the following page)^[7]
