She was married to David Mixson (1876-1955) on 13 November 1904 in Dale County, Alabama.[3][2] Molly Cotter Mixson was the mother of at least eight children. Ruth, Mary L., and Theodore are mentioned on the 1910 United States Census.[4] Ruth, Louise, Theodore, Billie, Joe, Elouise, and Vivian B. are mentioned on the 1920 United States Census.[5] There is a gravestone in Old Tabernacle Cemetery for an unnamed infant child of Molly and David Mixson which was born in 1918.[6]
Molly Cotter Mixson passed away at home in Coffee County, Alabama on 10 October 1920.[2] She was 40 years old. Molly Cotter Mixson was buried in Old Tabernacle Cemetery, New Brockton, Coffee County, Alabama.[7]
Supposedly, according to some family trees online, another child named Dorothy Lee, was born in 1920 shortly before Molly Cotter Mixson passed away, but I have had difficulty finding documentation of her existence. There was a Dorothy Mixson born about that exact time, but her parents were Henry J. and Mittie Mixson.
