Eleanor Cowan was born in 1823 to Samuel L. Cowan and Elizabeth Cowan.
She married Thomas Boyd Foster in 1837 in Alabama. [1]
Together they became the parents of ten including William Mason Foster, Samuel Cowan Foster, Thomas Theodore Foster, Andrew Boyd Foster, Hugh Caperton Foster, Sarah Elizabeth Foster, Prudence Jane (Foster) Rudder, James John Foster, Robert Alexander Foster, Margaret Katherine (Foster) Wimberley, and Eleanor Susan (Foster) Rudder.[2]
Eleanor passed away in 1854 in Jackson Co., Alabama and was buried at Caperton Cemetery in Pinder Hill, Jackson Co., Alabama.[3]
