Hannah had been reported the daughter of Thomas Cox and Hannah Woodbury, but Hannah Woodbury's husband was William Cox (-bef.1708). See David Curtis Dearborn and John Bradley Arthaud, "William1 Woodbury of Salem and Beverly, Massachusetts," New England Historical and Genealogical Register, 175 (2021)::207-222, in particular, 217-218. Hannah was born in 1695. She is the daughter of Thomas Cox. She was christened 28 July 1695 in Beverly, Essex, Massachusetts Bay, British Colonial America. Hannah married Jacob Elliot (b. 1673) on 10 November 1713 in Salem, Essex, Massachusetts Bay. They had the following children (could be more?):
Hannah passed on 29 December 1742 in Preston, New London, Connecticut.[1] There is some uncertainty about her date of death, because the original hand-written town records indicate Hannah died on 29 December 1742, but also state that her husband, Jacob, married his second wife on 22 September 1742. It is extremely doubtful that he was a bigamist, so probably there was an error in the writing of the original record. [Record is not indexed, see link above to view image of actual record.]
