Joseph CRAMP was born in 1840 in Newington St Mary, Surrey, England[1]. His parents were John CRAMP and Elizabeth KING.
1851, 10 year old, Joseph CRAMP was living in High Street, Gravesend, Kent, England with her parents, John (age 39, Butcher) and Elizabeth (41) and siblings, John (12), Thomas (8) and Sarah (4)[2]
The ship, Duke of Bedford set sail from London, England (via Plymouth) on 5 November 1852 with the CRAMP family among the passengers and arrived in
Hobson's Bay, Colony of Victoria on 4 February 1852[3][4]. The CRAMP family were contracted to arrive in Adelaide, Colony of South Australia however the newspapers of the day list the family as disembarking at Hobson's Bay, Colony of Victoria. The family consisted of parents, John (age 37, Butcher) and Elizabeth (37) and their surviving children, John (12), Joseph (10), Thomas (8) and Sarah (3).

He passed away on 1 April 1916 in Carlton, Victoria, Australia[6] and was buried at the Melbourne General Cemetery[7]
CRAMP.—On the 1st April, at his son's residence, 184 Niell-Street, Carlton, Joseph, the loving husband of the late Anna. Cramp, late of Fitzroy, also loving father of Thomas, Joseph, Jack, Bessie, aged 70 years. Passed peacefully away.
Research Notes
Relationship with Clarissa MANTON: It is unclear if Joseph and Clarissa were married or not. A number of trees on Ancestry suggest they were married in 1860 and divorced in 1870 however no records have been located.
