The 1871 Census lists Catherine Crain as the 1 year old granddaughter of Catherine and Richard Waring, daughter of Ann (25). She is living in her maternal grandparents' home at Kirkham, Lancashire. Also living there are Thomas Crain (3) and Ann Craine (0), also grandchildren of the Warings.^[2]

The 1891 Census lists Catherine A Crane as a 21 year old Rover of Cotton, living with her parents and sisters at Kirkham, Lancashire.^[3]

Catherine Ann Crane married Thomas Rossall Christopher or Joseph McGann in the Oct-Dec quarter 1896 at Fylde, Lancashire.^[4]
