Revolutionary War Service

1776 Project
Thomas Crawford served with South Carolina Militia during the American Revolution.

Thomas was a Lieutenant during the Revolutionary War and fought alongside his cousin, Andrew Jackson.[2] He was captured by the British in 1781, along with both Andrew and Robert Jackson and twenty other prisoners.[3] After the war, Andrew Jackson stayed a short time with Thomas and his family.[3][4]

He and his wife, Elizabeth, purchased the McCamie house from George McCamie in 1792.[1][3] They sold the land to the Cureton family in 1796.[3]

Thomas died in 1823, in Maury County, Tennessee.[1]

I'm sorry, what is the TL request?

Hi Terry

A Trusted List Request was sent some time ago. At present, I am working on sorting out some misinformation about this line. Another member has rejected the planned merge. I will touch base with you about this profile via private message to see if we can finish up this profile.

Hi Amy,

I think I unintentionally approved a merge request. If I did, I didn't mean to because there were some questions I had about it. I don't recall which match it was though. Thanks for your input.
