Mahala Crow married David Bare on August 30, 1840 in Putnam Co., Ohio.[1] Mahala was born March 26, 1820 in Columbiana Co., Ohio.[2] By 1850, Mahala & David have 5 living children.[3] Sometime between 1855 and 1860, the young family moves to Missouri.[4] David & Mahala have 10 living children by 1860.[4] By the 1880 census, Mahala is living in Nebraska with her daughter Martha and son-in-law Frank Carter.[5] She is a widow.[5] Mahala dies on November 11, 1893 in Burt County, Nebraska.[2]
