In 1748, Ephriam Curtis of Sudbury was appointed guardian of his minor children, Oliver Curtis, aged about 8 years, Mary Curtis, aged about 15 years, Judith Curtis, aged 3 years, Abigail Curtis, aged 13 years, Ephraim Curtis, age 11 years, Samuel Curtis, aged 17 years ^[2]

In 1752, an account of his estate by John Curtis was recorded which included rental income, debts paid, clothing for the children, an advance to Samuel Curtis, the eldest son, and administration fees.^[3]

In 1752, his estate was set out to Samuel Curtis (eldest son), Ephraim Curtis, Oliver Curtis, Mary Curtis, Abigail Curtis, and Judith Curtis.^[4]
