Biography
Emma Daff (married name Pengelly) was born in 1841 in Wakefield, Yorkshire, England,[1] daughter of Jane (Swallow) Daff and William Daff.
She migrated to Australia with her family in 1852 on the ship 'Thorwaldsen'.[2][3]
Emma married William Henry Pengelly on 31 August 1865 in Melbourne, Victoria.[4] Their children were:
- William Henry Pengelly (1866–1867)[5]
- Edwin Arthur Pengelly (1868–1948)[6]
- Frank Daff Pengelly (1870–1874)[7]
Emma died on 6 June 1870 in Melbourne, aged 29 years.[8]
