John F. P. Lewis was a son of John Lewis of Amherst County, VA, whose will was proved Dec. 7, 1789, and witnessed by William Carter, John Roach and Archeaus Gilliam.John F. P. Lewis m. Nancy Davis, who was the eldest daughter of Capt. Nathaniel Davis and Elizabeth Atkins.John F. P. Lewis' will, dated May 10, 1833, proved April 3, 1837, at Stanford, Lincoln County, Kentucky, was written and signed by him.He names his daughter, Caroline M. Senter, and other children including my husband's ancestor Robert T. Lewis (Caroline's brother), and sets aside one acre of land for a family burying ground, and a quarter-acre for a slave burying ground.
