Jane Jamison/Jameson was married first to Abner Bird. After his death she married Issac Davis. The Davis place abutted the property of Thomas Jameson (Jane's father)which was in Franklin county, VA. The Davis place was in Henry co, Virginia.
So, her second husband was her father's (and likely her during her childhood) neighbor. And the property line runs along the county line, so that the 2 places are in different counties? Interesting, but complicating for land research! How do you come by this fun information? I enjoying knowing this sort of thing. Please add a line to the profile, if you have a citation for it!
I WENT there, and went to the various libraries..found a Davis descendent in one of the libraries...and she offered to link me up with someone who would lead me thru the forested lands from the nearest road to the old
Davis place.. There was still a building standing and some graves among some trees.. I had to buy tall rubber boots and we had to use sharp implements to cut our way thru the bushes, trees and grass to get there.. Then afterwards, I drove over the county line and saw that Franklin county bordered the Davis property and figured out that the Thomas Jameson place was the first homesteaded land there. The connection was obviously made between Issac and Jane Jameson Bird (widow) that way. They may have been connected thru childhood ...but perhaps Jane went to her father's place after the death of her husband.
I also went to Charles county, Maryland, where Charles Davis was married.. I noticed that his marriage to Sarah Moreland was the SAME date that Mormon records said he was married to Sarah Cooksey. I looked on microfilm at. Mormon Family Center (genealogy library) and found that the source of the marriage to Sarah Cooksey was a Cooksey family bible which also listed the birth dates etc of the Cookseys ...and realized that Sarah Moreland was indeed Sarah Cooksey who had married a Moreland who had apparently had died . I then put this information on the internet on my tree.. and thus unraveled the mystery of who Sarah Moreland was for all fellow Davis descendants who had (like me til that point) had not been able to find Sarah "Moreland'.
