Death of her husband and son from "Some Monumental Inscriptions of Patrixbourne Church"
- 8. HS North of church; two sculls and crossbones at top. Here lieth ye body of John DRAY late of this parish who died Apr 29th 1720 aged 68. Also John his son by Mary his wife who died March 19th 1725/6 aged 34 years.
- (this would be consistent with the 1652 baptism for John Senior, in which case he would be the same person as Dray-180 Gunn-471 13:47, 29 Dec 2015 (EST) )
Research Notes
Find a Grave (and several other unsourced on line sites) says that she is the daughter of John Dray and Elizabeth (Dunkin) Denne.
BUT
- A the only plausible (within 5 years of her age on the marriage license, and within 20 miles of Patrixbourne) baptism for Mary Denne gives her parents as John and Mary
- B The primary document about the Denne family, The Descendants of Robertus de Den, circa 1042. 19th generation lists the children of John Dray and Elizabeth (Dunkin) Denne. They do not include "Mary".

John Dray-199 is the son of John Dray-198, born in 1660?
They are both descendants of John Dray-178 (1550 - 1627) John Dray-43 is the great grandson of John Dray-178 John Dray-199 is the great-great-grandson of John Dray-178 Therefore they are second cousins, once removed.
But only one of them married Mary Denne. Based on the 1652 birth date, I believe it is John Dray-43 that married Mary Denne, and John-Dray-199 married someone else in Stouting, Kent.
