Mary Ann Eliza Dennis was born on 8 Jul 1860 in Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas, United States, daughter of Callender L. Dennis and Phoebe Jane Clary.[1] She came to Hickory County, Missouri at the age of 13 with her parents. [2]
She married Fountain H. Pitts in 1879.[3][4] Their children were:
Leslie Argus Pitts.[5][6] In 1930 they were living in Frankfort, Illinois, [7]but 1940 saw her back in Hickory County.[8]
She died from a cerebral hemorrhage on 20 January 1941 in rural Green township in Hickory County, Missouri. [2][9] She is buried in Pittsburg Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Pittsburg, Missouri.[10]
