Angèle Deschênes was born on 1 May 1853 and baptized on 28 May 1853 in Grande-Digue, New Brunswick, the daughter of Antoine Deschênes and Marie Ross.[1][2] Her godparents were Philippe Maillet and Marie Petitpas.
