No mention was made in the probate of personal property.[17]

Note: The Craig parish register recorded that "John Lamb of the parish of Roscobie & Elisebeth Deuchar of this parish were matrimonially contracted on the 1st of December & having been Thrice proclaimed were married on the 16th of December." It is not clear whether the wedding was performed in Craig or Rescobie.[20][21] Census: 1841 the Farm of Acres, Parish of Arbirlot, Forfarshire, Scotland. Note: Their census district was "Bounded on the N. by Parishes of St. Vigeans and Carmyllie, on the S. by the Arbirlot and Arbroath Road. On the E. by the Parishes of St. Vigeans & Arbroath, and on the W. by the water of Elliot, comprehending the Village of Arbirlot and the following farm towns with Cottar Houses vizt [?] Broomhill, Crudrie, Fairnyknow, Acres, Bankhead, Lochaber, Newton, Cuthlie, Sitsendrie [?] & Denhead." The family was enumerated with Isobel Findlay, age 10. Their farm was referred to as "Farmers Acres" in Cooks and Kin.[22][23]
