Biography
Daughter of Stockton Dodson (1804–1912) & Nancy Mary Burnett) 1805–1882), Marietta Dodson was born on October 3, 1839, in Lockport, Kentucky. she was the first wife of Samuel Ervin New, they had at least two children:
- Lou Ethel, b. 1 March 1862, Owentown, KY
- Simon Edward, b. Abt. 1861; d. 1868
She died on April 6, 1868, in Grayson, Kentucky, at the age of 28, and was buried in Leitchfield, Kentucky.[1]
