Research Note
I have removed Catherine's parents.
There was a Catherine born to Dunbar Earl of Selkirk Douglas and Helen Hamilton [4]
Lady Catherine Douglas daughter of the late Earl of Selkirk married John Halket Esq in 1815. [5]
It's hard to think of a scenario where she went to Ireland, married Thomas Alley, had 3-4 children, then left him and divorced? and then entered into another marriage to John Halket by 1815. Divorce required an act of parliament.
Thomas Alley emigrated to Prince Edward Island in 1818 with three children - if Catherine died before that date, it was not on the Island.
Son William born 1806; daughter Charlotte born 1807 in Ireland.
