Biography

Ann (or Annie) was born in Pontefract about 1784. She was baptised on 4 April 1784 at St Giles and St Mary's church in Pontefract.[1]

Ann married James Reeder in Pontefract on 12 October 1800.[2]

Annie was buried at St Giles and St Mary in Pontefract on 23 March 1870.[3] The inscription on Annie's headstone in the cemetery at Pontefract reads:

In memory of James Reeder who died October 10 1862 aged 88 years also of Annie widow of the above who died March 19 1870 aged 86 years also of John Richard who died May 30 1872 aged 17 years and of Harriet who died June 11 1872 aged 20 children of John (and Mary) Mitchell

It is not known who John and Mary Mitchell were - possibly this is a reference to Anne's daughter Mary.
