Mary Drew was born about 1700, she died about 1815. She was the daughter of John Drew (1668-1702) and Elizabeth Swann (1673-1727).
Mary Drew as the only surviving child of John Drew in 1714 joined Uncle Edward Drew in an ejectment suit to regain previously owned by Richard Drew, Jr, who had died without issue (Surry Co. Order Bk 1713-1718, pg 50) The land was 200 acres in Lawnes Creek Parish, Surry Co, VA, Mary received half.[1]
Mary Drew married Nicholas Smith.

9 July 1724 Nicholas Smith granted 95 acres on S. side of Meherrin in Isle of Wight Co. On same date John Sugars was granted 30 acres on the N. side of the Meherrin in same area. [2]
A year later 17 Aug 1725, Nicholas granted 225 acres on S. side of Meherrin on Fountain's Creek [3]
John Sugars granted 135 acres adjoining Smith grant [4]
