Martha Jane Dukes was born on February 26, 1872, in Bradford, Florida, to Barbara Allen Rimes and Mitchell Washington Dukes. he died on May 26, 1920, in Alachua, Florida, at the age of 46, [1] and was buried in Elzey Chapel Cemetery, Worthington Springs, Union County, Florida, United States.
