Reportedly the "Directory of Scottish Settlers in North America 1625-1825" by Dobson 1894 says: V.5: Peter Duncan, b 1624 in Edinburgh m. Bessie Caldwell in the Canongate during 1646. Father of John b 1648. Transported to Nomini Creek VA 1650. Landowner there in 1655; d. ca 1676. (Burke's Amer. Fam. w/ Br. Ancestry). It is presumed that portions of this were taken from the original Gustav Anjou Manuscript (which contained known errors regarding the Duncan Families).

His Son John m Elizabeth Jenkins was Executor & Administrator of the 1676 Will; - By 1714, all other children reportedly had died and John was sole surviving child - John became Heir at Law of Estate.
