Discrepancy

2 Contemporary Margaret "Olgivy" m 2 Charles Duncan; one in U.S.; the other in Scotland

Margaret Olgivy (1796 MO) in Howard Missouri. This is thought to be Margaret (Peggy) Doyle that married 2nd William C Barnes: (5 Apr 1819 — Age: 23) ,Howard, MO (Charles and Margaret had a son Peter b about 1812-1814 m Melissa Ann Avera; reportedly also a daughter Isabelle b prior to 1818.
The daughter of James Ogilvy (1743) and Helen Lindsay (1747) of Angus Scotland was in Scotland to at least 1814 and did marry a Charles Duncan. While they had children all b Scotland, it is unlikely they are related to the Warren KY or Missouri Duncan's. It would appear that the Margaret Olgivy m Duncan and Barnes should be b for a U.S. Duncan vs a Scotland Duncan.

Does Charles Duncan belong? Was she really married before William Barnes? Margaret was fairly young when she married to William Barnes in 1819.

The mother of John Barnes and Robert Barnes could actually be Sally Roman. A William Barnes married a Sally Roman in 1810 in Clark county, Kentucky. *** William Barnes remarried to Margaret Duncan 5 April 1819 in Howard county, Missouri.
