Biography

Ann was the daughter of Benjamin Durfee and Prudence Earle.

Ann married 1st to Thomas Cory on 5 May 1725 in Tiverton, Newport County, Rhode Island. Thomas died on 29 June 1727 in Tiverton, or Providence, Rhode Island. Children: Thomas (1725).

Ann married 2. William Hicks, he died intestate and left her with 9 minor children to bring up. She served as administrator for his estate, eventually inheriting 1/3, the remaining 2/3 being divided among their children in May 1753.

Ann married 3. Joseph Brownell.
