died at 22 years, 3 months & 4 days, place of birth: N. M. O., male, white, single, occupation: Laborer, father: Edward Dwyer, mother: blank, birthplace of father: N. M. O., birthplace of mother: N. M. O., died of Intestinal obstruction by adhesion bands, Physician: Sherman Whitney, of Seldon, Maine[8][9]
note: I don't know what N. M. O. is. It is stamped. Perhaps it is "No Mention of"
note: Intestinal obstruction may be congenital, acquired, intrinsic or extrinsic. Most intestinal obstructions are the result of postoperative adhesions. Those caused by anomalous congenital band are extremely rare. These bands seem to have a congenital origin and cause bowel obstruction by trapping between the band and the mesentery. Obstruction may occur 20 years or more after the initial surgical procedure, if a previously benign adhesion allows the small bowel to twist spontaneously around itself and obstruct. Without immediate medical attention, small bowel obstruction is an emergent, possibly fatal, condition. Maybe he had his appendix removed earlier and the scar tissue from that surgery caused this.

Burial

Island Falls Cemetery (Old) at RT 2, Island Falls, Aroostook County, Maine, USA [10][11]
Plot: East side of RT2, second section L-R, rear plots, inscription: The angels called him

Research Notes

The Maine, J. Gary Nichols Cemetery Collection, ca. 1780-1999 record indicates his middle name is D, but the photo of the tombstone from Find a Grave indicates his middle name is E. I think the tombstone has been replace since the first record was created in Nov. 1997. I believe his middle initial is D. X-7764 07:13, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
