Information about Frederick from the Eaton Grange Publication:

Frederick born in 1793 to John and Mary Eaton, learned the clothier's trade, which he followed for a time at Warner. He subsequently devoted himself to study and teaching, and once had the ministry in view. He married Polly Badger and settled down to farming. He became a very active member and was for twenty eight years deacon of the Congregational church of Warner. He was also for many years the superintendent of its Sabbath-school. He is said to have married twice more after his first wife died in 1861. His life of severest labor was consecrated to his religious zeal. He was wont to rise every night several times for secret prayer, and had special hours devoted to prayer for relatives by name. Though a farmer of small means, he contributed sums of $30 and $40 at times to objects of Christian charity. He was a member of the American Bible Society, the American Tract Society, the Home Mission Society and the American and Foreign Christian Union.
