Mary's baptism record says she was born December 12 1680, at Simsbury, a daughter of John Eno; this implies a different age at the time of her death, in December of 1773, from the inscription on her gravestone, which appears to read "Aged 91 Years" rather than the expected 93. However, gravestone estimates of age are notoriously imprecise. (Other, secondary records offer a birth year of 1682 -- presumably calculated from her inscribed age in 1773 -- but the transcript of the original record clearly shows 1680.)
Mary Eno is sometimes referred to, probably incorrectly, as Margaret; this confusion sometimes arises from the resemblance of a clerk's handwritten "Mary" to a handwritten abbreviation "Marg". Mary Eno married Daniel Gillett in January of 1703; the couple had several children including proven daughters Margaret (Gillett) Phelps.[1][2] and Eunice Gillet Bull.
Mary -- widowed in 1753 -- died at Windsor on the 7th of December, 1773; she and Daniel share a gravestone in Windsor's Palisado Cemetery.
