Biography
This profile is part of the Estes Name Study.
John was born in 1787. He was the son of George Estes and Mary Younger.
In 1811, he married Nancy Ann (Moore) Estes (abt.1785-bef.1870) in Halifax, Virginia. [1]
John served in the War of 1812 from September to December 1814. [2] In 1830, John was a head of a household in Claiborne, Tennessee that included 8 -children under age 20 and 2 adults, ages 20-49. [3]
In 1850, John was recorded as head of a household with his wife and a young person named Mary. His occupation was shoemaker. [4]
He passed away in May 1885.

Estes-1778 and Estes-1595 are not ready to be merged because: Probably the same but parents need to be figured out. There is another set of Estes duplicates with the same problem. More research needed.
