Her obituary was published on 24 January 1829 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee and read ... "Dale, Elizabeth, in Smith County, near Liberty, on the 13th instant, widow of the late Mr. Thomas Dale in her 84th year having been a professor of religion about 60 years and ever adored in the profession by her godly walk and deportment. She was of the Presbyterian order until her last years, she joined the Methodist. She died with full assurance of immediate glory."
