On 8 July 1773 Edmund Evans of the Borough of Derby was articled to Thomas Ince attorney of Wirksworth, Derbyshire.[2]
Edmund Evans, gentleman, bachelor of Derby, married Dorothy Coales, spinster of Birmingham, by licence on 14 August 1783 in St Martin in the Bull Ring, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.[3][4]
Edmund Evans built Yeldersley Hall in about 1800.[5]
Edmund Evans, gentleman of Derby, made his last will on 9 February 1810 naming his wife Dorothy and his two daughters Sarah Ellen Evans and Elizabeth Evans. The will was proved in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury in London on 2 December 1824 by Sarah Ellen Evans and Elizabeth Harrison formerly Evans, wife of John Harrison; his wife having died before him.[6]
