Biography
Thomas Alban Evans was born on July 18, 1837 in Nercwys, Flintshire, Wales, United Kingdom. His parents were Thomas Alban Evans (~1801 - 1851) and Maretta (Powell) Evans (1803 - 1868).[1]
In 1841 (aged ~3), Thomas was living in Holywell with his mother, Moretta Evans (35); and his sisters, Margarette (6), and Mary (3 Mo).[2]
In 1851 (aged ~13), Thomas was boarding at a school in Bangor.[3]
Thomas married Virginia Henderson Jack (~1850 - 1899) on June 26, 1868 in Chattanooga, Hamilton County, Tennessee, United States.[4]
In 1870 (aged ~32), Thomas's occupation was 'RR Co Clerk'. He was living with his wife, Virginia H; and his son, James A.[5]
In 1880 (aged ~42), Thomas's occupation was 'Deputy County Court Clerk'. He was living with his wife, Virginia H. (29); and their children, James A. (11), Thomas B. (8), Katherine M. (6), Rosena M. (4), Robert B. (2), David E. (1/12); and Chas. B. Mcconnell (7), Annie Mcconnell (4), and Tommie Mcconnell (8/12).[6]
Thomas died on September 2, 1895 in Chattanooga aged 58.[7]
