The sources suggest that Marietta received a pension due to her husband's occupation. The financial accounts for the Charity for the Relief of the Poor for Clergymen accounts state that after 1851, Marietta, aged 48 years, the wife of the Vicar of Cilciain, Flintshire was paid a pension of £10 per annum . From the Report of the Governors of the Charity for the Relief of the Poor Widows and Children of Clergymen, page 22. [4] Maretta died at Pwllglas, Mold on the 20th September 1869. She was the wife of the late Rev. Thomas Evans, Vicar of Cilcain. She was buried at Nercwys, Flintshire on the 23rd September 1868.[5]
